Deaf Awareness
We recently learned about how we can communicate better with children who have a hearing difficulty.
Our visitors talked, and signed, about the importance of using all
our senses to help children with a hearing impairment to communicate. We can look at them when we start to speak so
that they know we are talking. We can
touch them gently to get their attention.
In school we have been learning sign language so we can all use signs to
‘talk’ to each other too! How many signs do you know?
