Floating and Sinking

We have had fun this week experimenting with objects that float and sink.  We are enjoying hearing what you have done at home and what you have noticed at the swimming pool.  

Here are some of the things we have been doing in class.

We predicted which items would float and which would sink. 

Then we tested them to check.

We recorded what we found out. 

Then we made boats.  We could choose what to make them out of.

The challenge was to make a boat that could hold our toy sheep for 30 seconds. 

This was hard, as some boats would float but couldn't hold a weight.

The winners!

Many of you kept on working on your boats to make them better and took them home to carry on experimenting.  Well done!
